A Leader's SOUL - The Daily Companion

SOUL - The Daily Companion is an evolutionary software designed to support the most important asset within your organization - you! For businesses, it provides a very cost effective solution for establishing a Leadership Training Program that provides daily reinforcement of leadership best practices.

SOUL - The Daily Companion is a serious tool for serious people who want to increase their success. It focuses on the three pillars for your success: (1) personal readiness, (2) team support, and (3) lessons learned. SOUL - The Daily Companion contains three software applications designed to be the best leader you can become. SOUL - The Daily Companion helps you do that very efficiently and effectively.

As a leader, your relationship with yourself and others are the two most important assets you manage. It comes down to inner communication with yourself and outer communication with others. No matter who is your favorite author, from Napoleon Hill to John Maxwell, there are three recurring, consistent themes about inner communication: In response, Catalyst Technologies (CT) developed Solutions Offering Unique Learning (SOUL) - The Daily Companion software package that uses two MS Excel files to give you access to three unique applications. SOUL - The Daily Companion software is designed to support you in your daily leadership routine through learning to manage your inner and outer dialog more effectively.

  SOUL - The Daily Companion

SOUL - The Daily Companion three pack software is designed for the forward thinking leader. This unique package is focused on using grounded leadership principle focused on inner and outer communication to create successful outcomes with teams:

  • The first application within Daily Companion is called the High Self Solution Primer.  This tool is designed to help a leader solve a problem by first successfully recognizing and remembering their inner strengths to solve that problem.
  •

  • The Team Support Guide, the second Leadership SOUL component, was created to provide perspective and tips to ensure that a leader sees the best of what their team can be, before seeking their support. It provides a simple analysis process to assess perspective and offers practical tips on how to engage teams to be more aligned to the customer and excel at their work.
  •

  • The Lessons Learned Journal, the third application in the package, automatically creates lessons learned documentation from a team or workforce. It also seamlessly integrates with the other two SOUL components, giving the user an unique and non-intrusive ability to have automated documentation support in collecting intellectual knowledge about organizational productivity and effectiveness.

    High Self Solution Primer

A primer to help you solve any problem more effectively by first  securely recognizing and remembering your personal strengths before taking on external challenges.

No matter who is your favorite author, from Napoleon Hill to John Maxwell, from “The Laws of Success,” first published in 1928, to the multitude of success and leadership books currently on the market, there are three reoccurring, consistent themes: (1) manage your attitude, (2) choose a personal belief system that supports you, and (3) keep on a path of self-awareness and integrity. This all begins and ends with your inner communication.

"Talking to Yourself," by Dr. Pamela Butler, emphasizes that anxiety from negative self talk is a serious issue for anyone, but especially when you are under the strain of getting results on-time, on-budget or meeting that almost unachievable bottom-line goal. And there is a common remedy described throughout the popular literature that the High Self Solution Primer uses to support you.

The High Self Solution Primer supports you in effectively dealing with what Dr. Daniel G. Amen refers to in his book “Change your Brain Change Your Life” as ANT (automatic negative thoughts). The Solution Primer, in part based on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), is designed to give you a proven edge to “kill the fortune-telling ANTs" that limit your success.

The types of words used are called High Self Words because they support a person in gaining a higher perspective on handling a situation from the inside out. These are the type of words that, when you look back on a situation, might have better prepared you to more effectively deal with it. Words and action must go hand in hand. Therefore, it's strongly recommended that you use the Lessons Learned Journal, discussed below, to track your awareness and document your learning associated with the actions that results from following the process.

    Team Support Guide

A guide to improving how well your team supports your needs by giving you perspective, techniques and tips to help you understand theirs.

As stated by David Schwarz in his book, “The Magic of Thinking Big*”, the basic rule for winning is, “Success depends on the support of other people. The only hurtle between you and what you want is the support of other people.” The Team Support Guide is designed to get the support you need from your team.

The Team Support Guide provides an interactive question and answer experience to help you discover a more unbiased version of your team's capability in supporting you and achieving results.

The best way to use the Team Support Guide is to follow the tips and create a journal entry to track what works and what doesn't work. The tips are proven techniques to lead your team to the next level of supporting you and your goals. Each question in the Support Guide is written to help you become more aware of how a particular answer might contribute to having either a positive or negative perception, and how it contributes to your leadership style. The leadership tips offer ways to validate your perception, but also provides techniques in working with your team and making them better followers.

The tips provide practical leadership application within your work environment.  Therefore, it's strongly recommended that you use the Lessons Learned Journal, discussed below, to track your awareness and document your learning. As you implement these leadership tips described in the Support Guide, allow your team to contribute with their own journal entries associated with that specific tip/theme to learn more about their challenges with supporting you. By doing this, you'll gain a more truthful view of your team and learn more about them. This view and knowledge will affect both your attitude and the words you choose to direct them.

    Lessons Learned Journal

The Lessons Learned Journal provides automated documentation support on the learning and growth of an organization based on "what worked" and "what didn't work" associated with your teams alignment to your customer.

The Lessons Learned Journal is a visual journal entry database consisting of data specifically gathered and filtered to help you make better decisions from past success and failures. Recognizing that its difficult to document what is learned while you are in the middle of meeting deadlines and supporting customer wishes, this tool specially makes the act of documentation automatic.  The software works with the Team Support Guide, High Self Solution Primer and u2 Leadership Software to automatically create journal entries that provide value to your customer, business, teams and you. It literally takes 5 minutes a week to document lessons learned to use for a lifetime.

The Lessons Learned journal can automatically import journal entries from these programs or the user can optionally input the journal entry directly into the tables. This vital SOUL companion allows you to learn to more efficiently and effectively create “the right attitude and the right action plan,” as highlighted by John Maxwell, in his book, "Developing the Leader Within You."

This tool is designed for those recognizing that your workforce consists of intellectual capital in the form of their knowledge on how to be more productive and effective when supporting the needs of the organization. This is an automated and essential approach to collecting the most precious within an organization: how to achieve excellence. The Lessons Learned Journal is vital to this end, supporting the health of an organization and to yourself. In the book by Robin Sharma, "The Leaders Who Had Not Title," the journal is described as one of “the 7 Fundamentals of Personal Leadership.” Five of the seven described are supported by the SOUL Companion.
