A red light indicates that the team's forecast is that they can not successfully meet business needs. Based on the APRI level selected, this forecast has high and low parameters. Optionally, a history of why red light could not be mitigated to become green can be recorded for future lessons learned.

Red lights support proactive behavior. When a manager sees a red light roll-up for a project, he or she can zoom down to the activity or activities, uncover why the issues were not resolved and step in to efficiently influence the outcome. A yellow light indicates risks given the parameters of the APRI used. Based on the managers preference, he or she can investigate and resolve any risks resulting in green lighted leadership dashboard.
